Professional Liability Insurance for Design Professional –
Our focus on providing insurance and risk management services for design professionals truly sets us apart from our competitors. What makes us different?
Specialized personnel: Our highly-trained staff will expertly assist you in analyzing your risk, developing a risk management program and selecting the proper insurance partners for your firm’s needs.
Exclusive Access: Stuckey Insurance has access to over 30 insurers that can provide insurance services for Design Professionals. We are also the exclusive broker in Arizona for specialty insurers for Design Professionals, including XL Design Professional, ADI/Hudson and Berkley Design Professional. These insurers have selected to work with our firm due to our experience and commitment to the design profession.
Education: We strongly believe that a strong education program is the first step in avoiding insurance claims for our clients. Stuckey insurance provides education programs that provide continuing education credits recognized by almost every national association and licensing jurisdiction. They cover a variety of loss prevention issues that affect your daily practice, such as contract language, case studies, or claim trends. Several of our insurers also provide a premium credit for your participation in our programs. We offer several options for classes, including:
- In-house risk management classes – download our 2014 Class Schedule
- On-line courses
- Annual Risk Management Seminar
Contract Review Services: Every contract your firm signs brings with it unique implications. Many transfer a significant amount of risk on you. We assist your firm in reviewing your contracts from an insurability perspective. We will never tell you to not sign a contract, but we will educate you on the additional risks you are inheriting by signing each contract. (Our advice is not a substitute for legal review. Stuckey Insurance can make recommendations for lawyers to contact that are well-qualified in reviewing construction and design contracts).
Claims Advocacy: Insurance companies are in the business to pay claims, and most do an excellent job. We take an active role in managing and monitoring the claims process. If, however, at any time during the claims process you have questions, become frustrated or have any comments, you should involve us. Our job is to make certain that your claims are handled correctly and efficiently.
Client Advocacy: Stuckey Insurance is a member of the Professional Liability Agents Network (www.PLAN.org), a group of like-minded professional liability agents in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada that focus on risk management services for design professionals. Our membership in PLAN helps form the strongest voice of advocacy for risk management services for Architects and Engineers in the country. Stuckey Insurance is committed to this organization, and actively participates in leadership roles to facilitate the development of the cadre of design professional insurance agents across the country.
Professional Societies: Stuckey Insurance has partnered with our local associations to further our advocacy for our clients, and to provide financial assistance to the associations of our partners, including:
- AIA: Involvement with the Arizona component of the AIA includes participation in Membership Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Affiliates Committee, State Conference sponsor and various risk management speaking engagements.
