USCIS Extends Form 1-9 Expiration Date

On August 2, 2024 USCIS announced Form I-9’s new expiration date.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has extended the expiration date of the current Form 1-9 (Rev. 08/01/23) to May 31, 2027.

Arizona Minimum Wage to Increase in 2025

On January 1, 2025, the minimum wage rates in Arizona will increase as follows: 

Statewide: Effective January 1, 2025, Arizona’s minimum wage is: $14.70 per hour. 

For any employee who customarily and regularly receives tips or gratuities, an employer may pay tipped employees a maximum of $3.00 per hour less than the minimum wage if the employer can establish by its records that for each week, when adding tips received to wages paid, the employee received not less than the minimum wage for all hours worked. Certain other conditions must be met.

Flagstaff: Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage will be $17.85 per hour. 

The minimum base wage for tipped employees will be $16.85 per hour. 

Tucson: Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage will be $15.00 per hour.

Federal Contractor Minimum Wage Increases for January 1, 2025

Contracts Covered by Executive Order 13658: The minimum wage will increase to $13.30 per hour. The minimum for tipped employees will increase to $9.30 per hour.

Contracts Covered by Executive Order 14026: The minimum wage will increase to $17.75 per hour for both tipped and non-tipped employees.
